>From: Stephane Charitos <[log in to unmask]> >Subject: Academic Review Dear friends: I was wondering if you could help me advertise the following position that as opened at Columbia to any interested and qualified people? The position is a joint appointment between the Language Resource Center and the Center for New Media Teaching and Learning and will be based on the Morningside Campus. As you can tell by the position description, the job focuses on both faculty training and development of instructional material (the LRC's principal interests) and project management (more CCNMTL's interest). I am particularly keen on identifying someone at the beginning of their career with not only a solid record of classroom instruction in a foreign language but also with a strong theoretical background in educational or instructional technology who would be able to guide Columbia faculty towards a more systematic application of technology in the language classroom. Please feel free to redistribute this description to other listservs (Otmar could you post it on LLTI?) or to other interested parties. I am also happy to discuss the position with potential candidates. Columbia will begin to look at candidates immediately and keep looking until the position is filled.
