Research on Internet-Mediated Foreign Language Study The division invites original research reports on Internet-mediated foreign language study. The research may represent diverse theoretical approaches including (but not limited to) interactional sociolinguistics, systemic functional linguistics, interactionist SLA, sociocultural theory, and communication theory. 2. Research on Study Abroad The division invites original research reports on any aspect of study abroad in any foreign language. We encourage research reports from diverse theoretical perspectives. 3. Policy Perspectives on Post-Secondary Foreign Language Requirements The division invites research reports and position papers on how institutional educational priorities (e.g., internationalization of the curriculum) and budgetary constraints (e.g., increasing class sizes, staffing patterns) affect perspectives and policies on the foreign language requirement.
