That works. The problem is, there are almost 900 files to be dealt with. ! Do you (or does anyone else) know a good way to do this automatically, like with a script? The Mac group here has suggested that it can be done from a Unix prompt, but this has to be done on the old machine. Or, could I mount this old drive from an OS X box and remotely run a Unix script on it? Thanks again, Laura ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Laura Atkinson Technical Coordinator for Foreign Language Computing Duke University [log in to unmask] 919.812.0402 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* --On Monday, April 07, 2003 3:58 PM -0400 LLTI-Editor <[log in to unmask]> wrote: > --- Forwarded Message from JEFFREY J HAYDEN <[log in to unmask]> --- > >> Date: Fri, 04 Apr 2003 11:29:26 -1000 (HST) >> From: JEFFREY J HAYDEN <[log in to unmask]> >> Subject: Re: #7108 ClarisWorks>AppleWorks and Chinese >> In-reply-to: <[log in to unmask]> >> To: LLTI-Editor <[log in to unmask]> >> Cc: Laura Atkinson <[log in to unmask]> > > > On Fri, 4 Apr 2003, Laura Atkinson <[log in to unmask]> wrote: > >> I upgraded a Chinese user to OS X, and AppleWorks opens her old >> ClarisWorks documents fairly well.
