I don't know how this is done under W2K, but it must be possible. There are however programs out there like supermp3recorder (which notably can act as a two track recorder) that capture and save streams, so there is no full proof way to prevent it from being copied. -Damion _-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_ Damion Renner Multimedia Specialist -Multimedia Centre in the Humanities Information Officer/Webmaster -Computing in the Humanities _-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_ >Date: Tue, 11 Feb 2003 13:19:49 -0500 >From: "David Flores" <[log in to unmask]> >To: "<"<[log in to unmask]> >Subject: Securing MP3 media. Here at Loyola our Language Labs are running DIVACE software with content delivered from a Windows 2000 server. My question for anyone with a similar setup: how have you managed to prevent tech saavy students from copying the master MP3s off the server and e-mailing them to themselves? -Dave Flores David Flores Director: Language Learning Center Loyola College in Maryland 4501 North Charles Street Baltimore, MD 21210 Ph: (410) 617-5230
