She says she has no trouble using it to produce Katakana and Hiragana but it's a nightmare when she tries to use it for Kanji. Apparently she has to hunt for the character she wants among several dozen choices (rather than half a dozen as with the other characer sets) and it takes forever. I'm at a loss to help her as I know nothing about Japanese characters. She wants to give up on IME and order KanjiKit 2000, which she says makes typing Kanji much easier (she used KanjiKit 97 a few years ago). I'd rather avoid supporting another piece of software and thus would like to find out if her problems are possibly related to user error or if in fact IME isn't all that great for producing Kanji characters.
