He did not use AirPort connections up there (no base station), but when he brought the machine back (having put it through the travel security mill), it would no longer recognize its card. I re-seated the card, making sure all directions were followed, and I reinstalled AirPort 2.0. It still does not recognize the card. Before I take it to the nearest authorized Apple repair 70 miles away, any suggestions I might take? I have to admit that before my son went away we had some trouble with card recognition, and one day a form popped up while my wife was using the machine, asking here if she wanted to set it up. She did, but we have not been able to rproduce those conditions. I have been much more successful with my Powerbook.
