>Subject: Headphone theft solution

Friends,

Had to share this with you. As some of you know, I am currently
doing research on technology (in general, not just for language learning)
in California high schools for the University of California Office of the
President. One ELD (English language development) English teacher I
observed has 23 computers in his classroom,
each with headsets (he actually encourages his students to listen to music
for a variety of reasons). Headset theft had occurred several times. His
solution? He took all his headsets home, spread them out on his driveway
and spray painted them PINK.
He figured he'd be able to identify stolen headsets quickly this way.....
....but of course, he hasn't had to worry about identifying stolen
headsets. Not a single one has gone missing since!
