Even in other situations, the talk feature is poor -- static, > echoes, fuzzy.> In general, the intercom feature is either buggy or disorienting as there may be a slight delay. I've been using NA for 5 years but don't use the intercom feature. But if you do, be sure that in your workstation setup preferences (Setup>Workstations>Find using...) you've established your groups via TCP/IP and not AppleTalk and, more importantly, that in the Preferences dialog (Setup>Preferences) that you've selected "Only send changes made by QuickDraw." You should not be using virtual memory on either the admin or student workstation. The other problem you may have is that the sound input source may be different for the intercom to function with a sound app like SoundEdit at the same time. -John __________________________________________ John de Szendeffy <[log in to unmask]> Multimedia Language Lab Center for English Language and Orientation Programs Boston University ph 617.353.7957 fx 617.353.6195 Lab: http://www.bu.edu/celop/mll WebFeat: http://www.bu.edu/johndesz/
