I don't do a high volume of multiple copies, but use it for backup. For the former, the main thing you'd want to check is the writing speed; I think 4X is standard. My i-omega has a USB connector, but does not have a separate power switch; this is a problem. The only way to deactivate it is to unplug it, or it overheats. The other kind I have used which I like better because it has the power switch is a TEAC. Then in the software, once you have your "burning job" set up, you need to save it so it can be reused. Also be sure of the difference between "CD-R" and "CD-RW." The latter is better for backup and can only be used in the burner drive itself, not any CD drive. Hope this helps. -- Mary Kiyoko Ohno Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School Washington, DC email: [log in to unmask] >From: LLTI-Editor <[log in to unmask]> >Reply-To: Language Learning and Technology International Information Forum > <[log in to unmask]> >To: [log in to unmask] >Subject: #6276 stand-alone CD Duplicating system >Date: Wed, 12 Sep 2001 07:54:55 EDT > >--- Forwarded Message from Candace Chientzu Chou <[log in to unmask]> --- > > >Date: Mon, 10 Sep 2001 08:43:41 -0500 > >To: LLTI-Editor <[log in to unmask]> > >From: Candace Chientzu Chou <[log in to unmask]> > >Subject: stand-alone CD Duplicating system > >Hi, > >We are in the process of purchasing a stand-alone CD duplicator that >can burn more than 10 CDs per hour.
