The mission of this conference is to provide a forum for instructional designers and technologists, faculty development specialists, student technology support staff, and instructional librarians to exchange ideas, network, and form collaborative relationships in order to enhance the quality of support for technology integration in higher education. It will take place April 19-21, 2002 at The George Washington University in Washington, DC. Proposals are now being accepted for hour-long presentations in the following areas: --Evaluating and choosing technologies for teaching and learning. --Faculty development (can include topics such as faculty support strategies, designing and marketing. workshops, teaching technology vs. teaching instructional strategies, supporting course management systems, addressing intellectual property issues, supporting distance education, etc.). --Structuring and staffing for seamless IT support (can include topics such as networking with other local institutions, collaborating and communicating with other units on campus, types of staff needed, etc.). --Student development and support.
