In so doing, we want to pay attention to the technology associated with the text. I'm soliciting feedback regarding texts used in your institution. What do you have that you like? What should I avoid? I've discovered many texts have Web sites associated with them but they're quite varied in quality (and the number of broken links). I'd love to use a book that has a decent interactive CD-ROM with it. (Incidentally, if anyone out there uses Neue Horizonte, please explain the difference between the Computer Study Modules and the Neue Horizonte NOW! CD-ROM. The explanations on the Web are insufficient.) It would probably be useful to know that our classes meet 3 times/week with an additional 2 meetings/week for lab. (We eliminated Kontakte because it didn't fit well into this structure). If sufficient interest exists, I'll summarize the feedback and post back to the group. Vielen Dank! -- Carine Ullom Director, Language Resource Center/ Instructional Technology Specialist Department of Modern Languages & Literatures St. Lawrence University Canton, NY 13617 [log in to unmask] 315-229-5857 (tel) 315-229-5989 (fax)
