We have one stray proposal with no identifying author. Perhaps it was an aborted attempt, later submitted in more complete form. The schedule is very full, but I wouldn't sleep well if I didn't try every reasonable avenue for identifying the owner of the following: -------------------------------------------------- Title: IMPROVING STUDENT WRITING WITH WEBCT Format: 45 minute presentation Abstract: WebCT allows instructors to create a customized interactive writing environment for FL students. Using a variety of tools (email, bulletin board) with a full range of formal and informal writing assignments, instructors can facilitate and guide student writing input. This presentation discusses successful teacher- and student-centered strategies and methods for utilizing WebCT to improve student writing (grammar and content). (Target audience: WebCT beginner and intermediate users) --------------------------------------------------------------------- We did receive several proposals on student writing, and more on WebCT, but this does not match any of them. %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% If you are wishing you HAD submitted this proposal, or another one, and you would like to be part of the IALL program because you need to present in order to attend, or because you are an able volunteer who loves a challenge, there is hope! We will be looking for people to moderate IALL Forum sessions. If you are interested, please contact me <[log in to unmask]> or watch LLTI for further details next week. %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% best, Bruce Parkhurst, Chair IALL'01 Program Committee
