We had ordered two of the San Cubes, and within three months of using them, the backplanes had fried. We FedEx-ed them back to California and MicroNet promptly replaced the backplanes and sent the cubes back to us, but now if they go out again, there won't be any place for us to take the cubes to be fixed. As of now, we are still using the San Cubes we purchased, but backing them up on an hourly basis as students store stuff. We don't want to be in a position where if the things go out again that the data saved to the cubes will be lost forever. To be honest, I found it cheaper to buy three 80GB IDE internal hard drives to install inside my computer that it was to have the San Cube. Drive prices are so low and any reasonable Raid software could unite the drives together for whatever purpose. Hope this gives you some ideas...
