For those of you unfamiliar with the program, the Game-O-Matic creates "games" which run in a web page. Currently, the suite contains Concentration, Timed Matching, and Drag-Drop Matching. Created primarily for internal use by the Center for Language Education And Research (CLEAR) and Michigan State University, all are welcome to use the program to create web pages. You create games by typing your content into a web form, and submitting it to the server. The server creates a game embedded in a web page, which you save to your own website. The new enhancement to Concentration is the addition of a scrambling function. After you create a game and save it to your website, every time a user loads the page, the items will be scrambled. This was a feature that was requested by some users; it adds to the useful life of a page by essentially shuffling the deck every time a user reloads the page. I've tested the program on IE and Netscape for Windows, and on Netscape for Mac. Please try the program, and let me know if it doesn't work on your machine, so that I can fix any remaining bugs. I'd be very interested in knowing how useful you find the program, and your students' reactions to the program. Thanks, and enjoy! Dennie P.S.
