A-V loans and set-ups continue all year; so do equipment breakdowns. Leaving students in charge of the center means that I need to supervise their work on a regular basis. Since this is our chance to get larger projects going, I usually spend a lot more time than I should on the job. But I can "make my own hours" from May to August. The same is true of holidays. I like having that kind of freedom.
