Recently, some commercial video places began to offer the service, for $50 per hour, VHS or S-VHS. Two weeks ago, I called a company listed in the yellow pages, and was quoted $15 per tape, and they supply the blank tape, converting between almost all tape formats. If things have changed as much in Boston as they have in New Mexico, you might find an affordable answer in your phone book. Three companies in my phone book listed PAL conversion right in the ad. Hi-8 will be harder to find than VHS, but I bet someone in your area can do it for you. Good luck.
