APRIL 24TH IS DENIM DAY!
Show support and solidarity for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence today by wearing denim.

What is Denim Day?
Recognized globally, Denim Day takes place on April 24th every year during Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The name “Denim Day” was sparked by an Italian Supreme Court Case where a rape conviction was overturned due to the survivor wearing tight jeans. The Court argued that because of her outfit, she must have helped the perpetrator remove her jeans, thus, implying consent.

The name Denim Day, then, is a call to dispel the harmful narratives of victim blaming. There is no excuse for sexual violence.

How to join in?
Wear denim!
