Hello all!

Tori Bergstein ’22, who is currently a med student at John Hopkins, has informed us that her research study will be hosting a Women in Orthopedics Panel TOMORROW, February 20th at 8:00 PM EST.

This virtual panel will be a Q&A format with four panelists: Dr. Dawn LaPorte MD, a hand surgeon from Johns Hopkins, Dr. Christen Russo MD, a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon from Columbia, Dr. Ariana Gianakos DO, a foot/ankle surgeon from Yale, and Dr. Camille Sullivan MD PhD, a second-year ortho resident at UCSF. They will be covering topics pertinent to premeds, including what it’s like to be a woman in ortho, advice about pursuing ortho at a premed and early med school stage, how to make the most of your gap year, and how they’ve overcome challenges and faced adversity.

Please use this Zoom link if you would like to attend: https://JHUBlueJays.zoom.us/j/96300923319?pwd=a01nOVVCd2pzUXRLdEpmSnFTTjJHZz09

Subject: Women In Ortho Panel Tuesday 2/20

Hi Rae,

I hope you’re doing well! Thank you so much for your help with my study - we ended up getting nearly 300 responses from all the schools combined!

I wanted to reach out because as part of the study, we are hosting a Women in Ortho panel this Tuesday, February 20th at 8 pm EST. I know it’s a bit last minute, but I would love for any Dartmouth premeds to be able to attend. If there’s any way you could send on the Zoom link and panel description to the HPP listserv, that would be amazing!

The Zoom discussion will be a Q&A format with four panelists: Dr.

Thank you very much for your help!

Best,

Tori
