Louis, the chairman of the Department of Neurology at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW), is hiring full-time paid clinical research assistants (RAs) for a 2-year position beginning in late spring/ summer of 2023. RAs will be involved in the study of Cognition in Essential Tremor, the Essential Tremor Brain Bank, and pilot studies on Essential Tremor (ET). Our lab is working to better understand the progression of cognitive decline in ET, the pathology of ET, and how lifestyle contributes to neurodegenerative diseases. RAs will travel within the US to conduct in-person visits comprised of a clinical interview, neuropsychological testing, and videotaped neurological examinations. RAs contribute to study design and data collection, and each RA will get substantive clinical experience. RAs are heavily encouraged to publish scientific research articles and conduct independent research. BA, BS, or Master's degree and a valid driver's license are required.
