Hello all,

Our apologies! It looks like we sent out the information from last year about Northwell’s Summer internships programs. Please see the information below to learn more about THIS YEAR’S opportunities.

Pediatric Clinical Research – Summer Internship Program in NY metro area:

Cohen Children’s Medical Center (CCMC) will be offering clinical research internship opportunities in 7 different pediatric sub-specialty areas this summer:

  1. Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics
  2. Neonatology
  3. Infectious Disease
  4. Nephrology
  5. Pulmonology & Cystic Fibrosis
  6. Neurology
  7. Emergency Medicine

CCMC’s summer research internship program originated in 2010 and has grown steadily over the years based on the extraordinary feedback from past interns and the equally positive experience that our clinical faculty have experienced while working with so many bright, talented, and motivated students.  This year’s summer internship opportunities provide interested students with a range of options in terms of time commitment, clinical focus, and ambulatory vs. in-patient setting, and students may apply for more than one internship program, if interested.

The application deadline for all of the summer internships is Friday, March 3rd. Students are strongly encouraged to apply early.  Applicants will be notified of their application status in mid-or late March.

Importance: High

Hi All!

Here are 7 Summer Research Programs at Northwell Health w multiple positions, in NY (Long Island). Northwell is connected to Hofstra’s Medical School.  There are some fantastic opportunities for research and clinical exposure.

This will probably best suit students who live within commuting distance as it is an unpaid internship; however, a housing stipend ($250/week) will be provided at the end of the summer to interns who do not live in the immediate metro area, incur rent expenses, and do not receive any financial support or stipend from their undergraduate program or other sources for their summer internship experience. The Center for Professional Development does have some off-term funding that would be worth investigating as well if you do apply and are placed into one of the internships.

The submittal deadline is Monday, February 28, 2022 at 12 Noon (EST); all materials must be received by that date/time. Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit their application as early as possible.

Please see all the info below and at the link above/below!

Warmly,

Sarah
