The Indigenous Agriculture Practice (IAP) project is a student-led initiative focused on facilitating the exchange of Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) and Indigenous Agricultural methods through workshops, guest speakers, and hands-on agricultural practice. The goal of this project is to support community-building, knowledge-sharing, and maintaining our natural relationship to the land as visitors on the unceded territory of the Abenaki and Wabenaki nations. By doing so, we hope to help cultivate a sense of place and belonging at Dartmouth while developing useful skills in growing and preparing fresh produce, identifying medicinal plants native to this region, and personal wellness.

IAP is made possible by funding from the

Special Programs & Events Committee (SPEC), the Third Kitchen Project, and the President’s office.
