GET OUTSIDE WITH US THIS WEEK!!!!


Cabin and Trail leads lots and lots of hikes, cabin overnights, and assorted shenanigans even in the winter! And you can borrow any and all winter gear that you might need - from warm layers to zero degree sleeping bags to snowshoes - for FREE!!!! (Just ask!)

  • sleeping bags!
  • snowshoes!
  • cross country skis! }

When: 8am-3pm
Why: There will be great views. There will be great talks. There may even be some great buttsliding. Eschew finals and join us on Thursday for the hike of a lifetime.

Why: Because it's reading period and you gotta fuel up for finals!! 9 miles of beautiful hiking with awesome people.

When: Friday 4:30pm to 6:30pm
Why: A low-effort high-reward hike for people who can only take a two hour break from finals but really want to get outside

When: 8-3:30pm
Why: Come take a break from essays and instead take a nice 4 mile hike of a 4000-footer with us - we have two Katie's leading, so double the Katie's double the fun!

Gear: warm base top/pants, a second water-resistant pant layer, a long-sleeved layer, a fleece, a puffy coat, gloves, a hat, and a buff/scarf - we will provide everyone with overboots and microspikes.

SATURDAY SATURDAY SATURDAY What: &hike &Cardigan!
When: Saturday 9am - 2pm
Why: running out of DBA at the end of the term? Lunch is free!!! Trying your hardest to procrastinate on that last p set or studying for exams? Come hike with us!!! And the best part is it's only five hours so you'll have plenty of time to get back and do sad finals week things

SATURDAY SATURDAY SATURDAY What: &Norwich &Contra &Dance!
When: 7:45 PM – 11:15 PM (with optional ride back to campus at 9:45)
Why: Contra dancing is a traditional New England-originated dance that is SUPER FUN and SUPER EASY to learn. Guaranteed to be moving and grooving as fast as you can say "California twirl with a half-sashay"!

When: 9am-4pm
Why: For a quality 7 mile hike close to campus! Enjoy the fresh air of one more hike for winter term!

MONDAY MONDAY MONDAY Majestic Monday Moosilauke March
We will be leaving at 8 Monday morning and returning around 4pm.
Don't worry it won't actually be a march, just a chill hike on a not too chilly day. No more finals = no excuses!!!!

Why: Come celebrate the end of ~finals~ with a chill hike - three miles round trip w/ dope views, delicious snacks, great photos, and fun people !!

A note about levels....

Level 1: Short, easy, super-beginner friendly hikes at a leisurely pace with relatively little elevation gain. Think Gile sunsikes and trips to Mink Brook!
Level 2: Slightly longer but still beginner friendly hikes with slight elevation gain, typically half day trips! Think Holt's Ledge or Moose Mountain!
Level 3: Longer trips with moderate elevation gain and mileages! Think Smarts and Cube!
Level 4: Longer trips with more significant elevation gain and mileages! Think Franc Ridge or the Kinsmans!
Level 5: Trips with the most significant elevation gain and mileages! Think Madison, Adams, and Washington!
