It is time again to start dreaming of big adventures in the great outdoors!
This fall, the DOC will again award $5,000 from the Chris Vale '18 Expedition Fund with the purpose of sending outdoor adventurers to pursue explorative and expeditionary efforts far afield. Chris, for whom the fund is named, epitomized turning outdoor fantasies into realities through his adventurous spirit, passion, and drive. His passing still reverberates through the Outing Club community, reminding us to pursue dreams with the same devotion and excitement as he did every day. The 2017 Expedition Fund award has allowed Jesse Feldman-Stein '18 and Lydia Blanchet '19 to complete second and third descents of multiple Alaskan rivers.
We encourage all DOC members to begin dreaming of expeditions that reflect the intense passion for the outdoors Chris embodied!
