Calling all students,

Topic: How Joseph Belbruno got into the entrepreneurship space with his background in chemistry, how he has built up this company to what it is today. From idea to proof-of-concept to fully-fledged venture.

Location: DEN, Tuesday, May 15th, 7-8PM

Quick Info:

• Teaches in the Chemistry Dept.

• Runs the Belbruno Research Group, “Our research involves studies of clusters, nanoparticles (including nanometer- dimensioned imprinted polymers), sensor development and the interactions of particles with surfaces. Both experimental and computational techniques are employed. The research is focused on the materials as well as the chemistry of the production process.”

“Joseph J. BelBruno is Professor of Chemistry at Dartmouth College. He received a B.S. degree in Chemistry from Seton Hall University and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Rutgers (New Brunswick) University. He has been a Visiting Professor at NTNU, Trondheim and an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow at the Technical University in Munich. He is the co-author of more than 130 publications and 7 patents. Professor BelBruno serves on the editorial boards of several chemistry and nanotechnology journals. Past research efforts have included laser-driven chemistry and spectroscopy in molecular beams. His current research interests are focused on new materials and processes at the nanoscale. These include experimental and computational aspects of imprinted polymers, sensor development, and gas–surface interactions.”
