OPEN AUDITIONS FOR:

A Senior Fellowship Project by Celeste Jennings ’18.

Directed by JaMeeka Holloway-Burrell

Citrus is an original choreopoem (a performance piece, in the style of Ntozake Shange’s For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide/When the Rainbow is Enuf).

The play follows the struggles of black women in America from the mid-nineteenth century to the present day. For this ensemble piece, we are looking for nine female performers from the Afro-Diaspora. Each of the nine roles address timeless journeys of emotions, tribulations, self-acceptance, and resilience associated with black women in America.
