We will be working on a hydroponics project this summer. The project is still in its beginning stages, so no knowledge is needed and plenty of non-engineering and engineering aspects are involved in the project. (Hydroponics involves growing plants without soil.) The project will be a rewarding opportunity to apply your skills and hopefully make a tangible difference in the lives' of others! Also a great opportunity to try out a new club for the summer!

Further information: DHE normally meets on Tuesdays at 8pm. We work on different projects from ideation to implementation using Thayer resources and plenty of hands on opportunities through each week and term. Each project eventually travels to implement our product. Past projects have included coffee husk cooking stoves, arsenic water filters, and hydropower  plants, each implemented in various locations around the world.

Each project has many interdisciplinary aspects that are part of making it successful. This offers a variety of opportunities for hands on involvement.
