Hi Everyone!

In the wake of the recent fire in Morton Hall, tonight at Theology on Tap we will be discussing faith and the role of a community in the face of tragedy. When unexpected and tragic events occur, a community's response is often critical in how the aftermath of the event is shaped. Tonight we will examine what place faith communities have (or don't) in response to tragedies, both local and global.

Discussion questions may include:

-What do we consider a tragedy? Are there different kinds of tragedies (personal, communal, global, etc.)?

- How does the response of a faith community typically differ from that of other communities in the face of tragedy?

- What role can (or should) a faith community play in the aftermath of a tragedy?

- How might this be different depending on the type of tragedy involved?

Join us tonight at 9 pm at the Canoe Club for discussion over a round of free drinks and garlic fries- we hope to see you there!

Peace,

Marielle
