This is a reminder that registration for the first of the two EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) courses that Dartmouth EMS will offer this coming year is open!
Registration is open to anyone, including students, faculty, staff, and community members.

The basic information about the first course is as follows. Much more detailed information is included on the attached poster and information sheet.
Course #1: Winterim Wilderness-EMT course
Taught by: The Kane Schools of Wild and Rescue Medicine
Location: Dartmouth College campus
Dates: 11/28/16 to 12/17/16
Dates: 11/28/16 to 12/17/16
Class Times: 6 days per week from about 9am-5pm (Sundays off) with some evening classes as well. Ride-alongs will be offered during the evenings and on Sundays.
Certifications upon successful completion of course and exams: Wilderness EMT, EMT from National Registry of EMTs and CPR for the Healthcare Provider.
Cost: Max of $1,995 (deposit of $1,000) with multiple potential discounts and payment options. Total can be as low as $1,745 depending on enrollment. If you register by August 5th there is a $100 discount!
Other: No food included in cost of course. Winterim housing is available to Dartmouth students who are enrolled in classes during 16F and/or 17W. Parking is available.
Registration: Follow the instructions on the attached registration form. There are limited spots in the course.
If you know you want to and can take the course, we highly encourage you to register ASAP to make sure you get a spot and take advantage of the early registration discount (details on attached info sheet).
Please note that there are cancellation fees:
You will get your deposit back minus:
$300 if you withdraw before 9/15
$500 if you withdraw between 9/15 and 10/28
$700 if you withdraw after 10/28

Class Times: Saturdays from 9am-5pm with online learning/lectures that must be completed on your own time during the week - a good amount of the course is online. Ride-alongs would be offered during the course.
Certifications upon successful completion of course and exams: EMT from National Registry of EMTs and CPR for the Healthcare Provider.
Cost: $1700 or less with some discount options.
Other: No food included in cost of course. Must arrange for your own housing if not enrolled during these terms.
