Roshini C. Pinto-Powell, MD, FACP

Dr. Roshini Pinto-Powell is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Associate Dean of Students and Admissions at Geisel. She is also the Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs in the Department of Medicine at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. She has practiced primary care in the Upper Valley for the past 20 years and is the course director for On Doctoring and Geriatrics and Ambulatory Medicine at Geisel. She has been the recipient of numerous teaching awards at both the graduate and postgraduate levels and was elected to the inaugural group of Master Educators at Geisel in 2012.

She will speak about a career and leadership in medicine and will briefly share the history of the birth of the residency program in the U.S. She will share her perspective on the future of medical education and more specifically the mission of the Department of Medical Education at Geisel. Come prepared to discuss how one's own learning objectives and strategies change from being a pre-med, to a medical student, to residency, and beyond.
