Please join the Rockefeller Center and the Tucker Center on Friday January 15, in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr., for a lecture from Rev. Leah Daughtry ’84. The lecture, “Words and Their Consequences: Civil Discourse in the 21st Century” will take place in Rockefeller 003 at 4PM.

As the dialogue on college campuses across the country has turned towards issues of civil rights and free speech, Rev. Leah D. Daughtry’s visit to campus could not be more relevant to the lives of civicaly engaged Dartmouth students. During the fall term, Dartmouth saw numerous examples of student demonstrations and students actively discussed the demonstrations occurring at peer institutions. Rev. Leah D. Daughtry addresses this phenomenon head on by discussing the impact of our statements and how to engage in civil discourse.
