Dinner with Professor Randall Balmer

 

Randall Balmer is chair of the Religion Department and John Phillips Professor in Religion at Dartmouth. The author of more than a dozen books, Mr. Balmer has published widely in both scholarly journals and in the popular press. His commentaries have appeared in newspapers around the nation, including the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Los Angeles Times, the Nation, New York Newsday, and the New York Times, among others. He has written and hosted three documentaries for PBS; for one of those productions, a three-part adaptation of his book Mine Eyes Have Seen the Glory, Mr. Balmer was nominated for an Emmy.
