On a cold, cold night in Dublin, Ireland on the 17th of March in 426 AD, Aiden O'Shea, Colin O'Lodge, and Decklin O'Houlihan were listening to the hot new band The Bagpipers in the basement of their abode. They had just picked up goblets, Guinness, paddles, and balls at the local watering hole. Clearly, however, there was an issue. As they stood over their fully set up trees to commence the first game of pong ever played, they realized they only had three people.

They were desperate for a fourth but nobody wanted to drink Guinness at 7 a.m on a Thursday morning. Until Patrick arrived that is. Not only did Patrick arrive, but he came in hot. The game was over in twelve rallies as Patrick proceeded to sink all 12 cups in 12 consecutive shots, ending the game. The game lasted 4 minutes and 11 seconds. Seriously.

It should be no surprise that Pat was revered a Saint from this day forward. It also should be no surprise that he received his own holiday. The Irish, unfortunately, tend to mix up some of the details of the events on St. Patrick and celebrate with festivals, parades, corned beef and hash.

Tonight, October 8th, in honor of Patrick becoming a living legend on March 17th, TDX celebrates the true story of St. Patrick's day. It's what Patrick would have wanted, you guys.
