Welcome one and all to 15F! Chess Club will hold its first meeting today (Wednesday) at 5:30 at the Collis Pateo. Come play with our giant chess set, get some lessons, and have a chill time!

We also have a special event coming up on Sept 30th. Chess Club is working with the Center for Professional Development (CPD) to bring in billionaire Alan Trefler '77,  Founder and CEO of Pegasystems and co-champion of the 1975 World Open Chess Championship. He will be giving a talk on his success in the tech field and how chess influenced his career, PLUS he will play 20 of us Dartmouth students simultaneously in chess! This is a rare opportunity to talk with an extremely successful alum, get some personal advice, and be wowed by amazing chess skills.

The talk begins at 4:30 in Paganucci Lounge (Foco), and the chess simul begins at 5:30. If you are interested in one or more of these events, please fill out this form to sign up:

There are limited slots for playing in the simul. If it is full, you will be put on the waiting list in case someone doesn't show up.

P.S. There will be free food.

Here are the details from the CPD:
