Event Overview and Objective: The Haven has found that many of their adults have relatively poor credit and
a limited understanding of what steps they can take to improve it. In an effort to increase education around credit and provide strategies for increasing credit scores, Deloitte and the team of volunteers will provide a credit score overview, an introduction
to common credit pitfalls, and a number of ways to improve and / or avoid further damaging credit.
Format: The Haven participants will be split into groups along with
1-2 Dartmouth volunteers and Deloitte practitioners. Volunteers and Deloitte team members will be reviewing the credit materials with each group through discussion format (e.g., review the key topics outlined above, but standing up and reading through a PowerPoint
presentation)
Location: The Haven
Pre-event Time Commitment: The volunteers and the Deloitte team will be required to attend an hour-long call on
Monday, July 13th to review the plan for Thursday, including more detail on the credit overview materials.
