This is an awesome opportunity to spend your summer outside learning all about sustainable food production, hanging out in the barn, organizing events for students, faculty, and staff across campus, and helping to grow food and the sustainability potential of the farm! Job description and application are below! Note, we will hire additional summer sustainability interns (part-time) at the end of June, during the first week of classes. 

Farm Intern
Ready to work hard outside, eat delicious, sun warmed, local food, swim in the river, learn about growing vegetables, and help make Dartmouth a global, sustainability leader? Seeking two FULL TIME student farm interns to support the day-to-day operations of the farm this summer. Interns will perform necessary work in production fields and two greenhouses. Day to day activities include necessary seeding, weeding, transplanting, watering, pest prevention, harvesting and more. Farm interns will oversee marketing of vegetables to Dartmouth Dining Services and The Box and will also support our pilot Veggie Prescription service program. These efforts will include vegetable washing, sorting, weighing, invoicing and delivery. Additionally, interns will support distribution of surplus produce to student events, and through campus farm stands.  Full time farm interns help part-time interns, student volunteers, PE classes, and other visitors connect with the farm program through guiding and supervising work, giving tours, and running educational workshops. As the farm intern, you will support additional events and programming at the farm as needed on a day-to-day basis. Finally interns support academic uses of the farm, including the farm-based laboratory of ENVS 25: Ecological Agriculture. Are you ready to learn about sustainability, integrated food and energy systems, compost, tomatoes, herbs, bees, soil and more? This is the position for you!
