This important conversation is presented by the Greek Leadership Council, Spectra, & Student Assembly. This open conversation will focus on LGBTQA student experiences with the Greek system and queer experiences at
Dartmouth College. All voices will be heard and respected.
This conversation is the first in "Conversations
that Count," a series of discussions sponsored by the
Greek Leadership Council. This series is designed to facilitate energetic, respectful conversations about issues meaningful to life at Dartmouth, and is presented in conjunction with other campus organizations.
Certain LGBTQIA individuals at Dartmouth have found the Greek System a source of community and friendship, while others
have found it a source of isolation and hostility.
Greek Organizations often feel their houses are open and welcoming to the LGBTQIA community, yet many LGBTQIA individuals
don't feel comfortable stepping inside a greek house.
How do these multiple experiences exist simultaneously at Dartmouth, and what does the fact that they do demonstrate about our
community at large?
Share your experiences. Listen to those of others. Strive for mutual undestanding. Have a conversation that counts.
