Take 30 minutes to rest your busy brain! Starting today, "Meditation Mondays" in Baker-Berry Library will resume. Join in for a half-hour long guided meditation in Berry 183, located behind the King Arthur Flour Cafe. 12:15 PM - 12:45 PM. No experience with meditation practice necessary.

SUSTAINABILITY AT THE NEXUS OF LAND USE AND ENERGY, 4:00 pm, Room 200, Cummings Hall 
Felix Creutzig is a lead author of the Fifth IPCC Assessment Report, contributing on bioenergy, and lead analyst of the Global Energy Assessment Transport chapter.  He will present results of different land use policies that produce more or less sustainable outcomes.

You are invited to a “Tea” with Deirdre Heekin, this year’s ENVS George Link Jr. Environmental Awareness Lecturer.  Deirdre is a farmer, restauranteur, grape grower and wine maker from Barnard, Vermont.  Deirdre is also the co-owner of Pane e Salute restaurant in Woodstock, Vermont and head of La Garagista wines in Barnard, Vermont. GEORGE LINK LECTURE, 7:00pm, 105 Dartmouth Hall

DHE runs a wide range of technical projects in developing nations, including small-scale hydropower, improved cookstoves, and an initiative aimed at improving access to clean water. ​Eat at '53 Commons during dinner to learn more about Dartmouth's daily amount of food waste.  Finish the food on your plate or add it to our bins to see the amount of waste that's collected behind the scenes. 

SCREENING OF WRENCHED, 7-9pm, VINS (Vermont Institute of Natural Science)
Earth Day: The Dartmouth Sustainability Office is cosponsoring a screening of the documentary Wrenched at Vermont Institute of Natural Science. The documentary profiles environmental author and activist Edward Abbey and both Terry Osborne and Brooke Williams from Environmental Studies will be speaking. For those of you who haven’t been to VINS, it is a really cool sustainability spot in the Upper Valley!

DARTMOUTH ANIMAL WELFARE GROUP (DAWG), 7:00 PM, Collis 218
The Dartmouth Animal Welfare Group raises awareness about issues of animal ethics on campus, increases students' interactions with animals, and supports national movements that also promote animal welfare. The group focuses on animal welfare in the food industry, product testing, and scientific testing. DAWG also works to connect students to animals through volunteer opportunities at local shelters as well as pet-sitting opportunities within the Hanover area.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION ORGANIZATION (ECO), 7:00 pm, Hornig Library 

The Environmental Conservation Organization (ECO) has been around since the 1990s starting with bringing recycling to the dorms. Today the group educates students about sustainability on campus and tackles everyday sustainability challenges at Dartmouth, from reducing plastic use to encouraging energy efficiency.
