For millennials, understanding how to develop and manage an online professional identity is a key part of your future career and leadership strategy. How can social media and web services help you to establish yourself within a field? How do you figure out a fit between your professional goals and the many different types of platforms available? This workshop demonstrates both how and why a strong professional presence on the Internet and across social media can be used to showcase your college experience, expertise, and participation in an area of interest to potential employers and generally to the outside world. A range of platforms and their specific contributions to your potential goals will be covered in an interactive presentation and discussion, including Wordpress, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Twitter, SSRN, Meetup and Quora.
