SUSTAINABILITY SOLUTIONS CAFE: Investing in the Next Economy - Towards a Sustainable Global Future, 12:30-1:30pm, Paganucci Lounge, '53 Commons
Join Garvin Jabusch, Co-Founder & Chief Investment Officer of Green Alpha Advisors, LLC for our first SSC of the term with lunch! Green Alpha Advisors is an asset management firm, founded in 2007, on the belief that in order to live and thrive on our planet indefinitely we must make an inevitable economic and technological transition to sustainability. Our brand of environmentally focused, green investing is not an asset class. Rather, it is a vision for how the global economy must evolve to operate in an environmentally sustainable world, and a method of investing risk-averse capital for the long-term.

FROM CORPORATE LAW TO CLIMBING BARBED WIRE, 6:30pm dinner/6:45 event, Place TBA
Check out this dinner and presentation with Direct Action Everywhere (DxE) co-founder Wayne Hsiung and DxE press coordinator Brian Burns to learn more about today's world of animal rights and social justice. They will discuss the findings of a recent open rescue exposing shocking cruelty at a "humane" Whole Foods farm, explain the importance of open rescue to both the history and future of animal advocacy, and show how DxE's campaigns have provoked public consciousness (including coverage in The New York Times and CNN) that inspired nonviolent direct action in over 95 cities and 20 countries. Sponsored by DAWG.
