Every
year, the DOC's Environmental Studies Division funds student projects that encourage sustainability at Dartmouth and reduce Dartmouth's environmental impact. The DOC supports students in enjoying the out-of-doors, and it encourages them to give back to it
in this way. Funds will be awarded to well-planned, feasible projects addressing relevant sustainable issues. If you're interested in applying, read the attached guidelines and complete the attached applications by midnight on Friday, February 13th! If you

FRANCIS: Permaculture & Traditional Ecological Knowledge: A Holistic Movement for Wellbeing and Environmental Stewardship, 4-5:30pm, Filene Auditorium
Dartmouth
is extremely excited to have Shannon Francis, from the Southwest homelands of Arizona and New Mexico, to talk about permaculture and Traditional Ecological Knowledge as holistic systems for wellbeing and environmental stewardship. She will be sharing her extensive
knowledge on permaculture; developing environmental systems that are sustainable and self-sufficient. Blending this with Traditional Ecological Knowledge, Shannon is a pioneer for holistic systems for wellbeing and environmental stewardship. She strives to
share her passion and commitment to educate and instill care taking of community and land stewardship through Indigenous values and principles; weaving traditional ecological knowledge with innovative science.

week we are taking a trip up Balch Hill to catch the sun setting over campus. We will be playing in the snow, and learning some cool nature facts. Come discover a cool natural area within walking distance of campus! Meet behind Robo at 3:15, back at 5:15. Dress
warmly, since we will be doing some standing around. Boots, multiple layers of pants, all your jackets, gloves. Blitz Sam Kernan with questions!
