Hello all!
Hope you all have had a great break and are settling into the winter term! We wanted to notify you of the first Bioethics event of the term. We will be screening the movie Decoding Annie Parker and chatting about it afterward. The film is a real favorite of ours --  it's incredibly poignant and shows how cancer can fully shape the lives of patients, families, friends, medical professionals and communities.

A movie summary per Rotten Tomatoes:

"Based on true events, Decoding Annie Parker tells the life-affirming story of two remarkable women; the irrepressible Annie Parker, a three time cancer survivor and the geneticist Mary-Claire King whose discovery of the breast cancer BRCA gene mutation is considered one of the most important discoveries of the 20th century."

The event will be on Thursday, Jan 22nd from 6pm to 8pm in Collis 101. We will be serving Ramuntos for dinner. Please RSVP to Nikita Raman <[log in to unmask]> if you would like to attend (just so we can get a head count -- but last-minute attendees are welcome!)

We hope to see you there!
