The Tucker Foundation is pleased to announce that this year's speaker for the MLK Community Multi-Faith Celebration on Sunday, Jan. 18th is Rev. Starsky Wilson, co-chair of the Ferguson Commission.

Rev. Wilson has been at the forefront of the effort to coordinate local and national protests in response to the killing of Michael Brown in Ferguson with other clergy and community members. His bio is available at: http://www.deaconess.org/starsky-wilson.

Here are some events that are open to all students. Please join us and get to know this amazing person.

Friday from 4-5:30pm in Filene Auditorium, Rev. Wilson will be speaking on "Lessons Learned in Ferguson and Their Implications for the Country." This event is being organized by the Rockefeller Center.

Friday from 7-8:30pm at Cutter-Shabazz, there will be an opportunity for students to meet with Rev. Wilson in a "fireside chat" about his involvement in this movement and the role that the Black Church and our religious groups are playing and historically have played in social justice movements.

Saturday from 10-noon at the Tucker Foundation, Rev. Wilson will be speaking with students about activism, protests, coalition building, the importance of self-care, and other topics of interest to the students gathered. Light refreshments/breakfast snacks will be served.

Sunday from 3-4:15 in Rollins Chapel, MLK Community Multi-Faith Celebration with Rev. Wilson preaching and the Gospel Choir and the World Music Drum Ensemble will be offering wonderful musical additions. There will be a reception in the Hayward Lounge at the Inn immediately following the service.
