Looking for a safe and supportive environment to explore important subjects like race, ethnicity, and sexuality?

Have questions or opinions about current social events?

Want to learn how to constructively engage others around topics that commonly divide us?

The Office of Pluralism and Leadership invites you to share your perspective and learn how others experience the world around them by participating in our new and improved intergroup dialogue program (IGD).  In addition to meeting people from different backgrounds, IGD participants will have the opportunity to engage with fellow Dartmouth students in authentic conversations about challenging topics.  Through story sharing, reflective prompts, and group collaboration, participants will explore issues of identity, diversity, and inequity at Dartmouth and beyond.

IGD will offer two dialogue groups this term:
1) Race and Ethnicity - Mondays from 3-5pm
2) Sexuality - Thursdays from 5-7pm

Each group will meet separately over the course of six weeks.  Additionally, participants will attend two day-long retreats (exact dates TBD) to prepare to transition from dialogue to actively creating more inclusive and just communities.  Dialogue sessions and retreats will be guided by fellow students trained in group facilitation.
