Thriving@Dartmouth (Offered for PE credit)

T@D is an 8 week class that takes you through a series of interactive practices will equip you with the skills to cultivate behaviors that promote balanced nutrition, stress management, movement, sleep hygiene, and other core components of health and wellness. Designed alongside the Thriving Pine's Roots of Wellbeing (intellectual, emotional, physical, social, environmental, financial, and spiritual wellness), the class allows you to sample and explore the ways that could work best for you to thrive at Dartmouth in a holistic way.

                   3A: Mondays    3-5pm

                          Thursdays  4-6pm  (Class begins Monday 1/12)

Thriving Together

Thriving Together is an opportunity in which you will cultivate skills to begin supporting other students in their efforts stay well at Dartmouth. Cultivate skills for one-on-one conversations that increase motivation and commitment to making positive changes. Participants will have the option to act as positive change agents in their social spheres by inviting others to engage in various wellness-enhancing activities.  


Full training in Motivational Interviewing is a core component and will equip students to engage peers in one-on-one discussions about wellness. You will also select a specialization topic to deepen knowledge in an area of interest (alcohol and other drugs, nutrition, stress reduction, sleep, etc) and lead an interactive sharing session with others in the program.


2 hour per week time commitment. Training will be limited to 12 students. Note: no associated PE credit.


Program Schedule:
Core MI Training: Monday, 3pm-5pm (Weeks 2-4)
Wellness Challenge and Office Hours: Monday 3pm-4pm & 1 hour of choice on Friday (Weeks 5-8)
Interactive Special Topic Sharing: Monday 3pm-5pm (Weeks 9-10)
