Dartmouth's Green Revolving Fund is a loan fund that finances projects on campus devoted to energy efficiency, renewable energy, reducing the College's environmental impact, and providing educational opportunities about sustainability.

The $1,000,000 fund was established in 2011 by students in the Class of 2010 taking Environmental Studies 50. $900,000 of the fund is used to finance projects implemented by Facilities Operations & Management (FO&M) that reduce Dartmouth's environmental impact and improve energy efficiency. The remaining $100,000 is used to finance community-led sustainability projects that may not have tangible monetary savings. Cost savings from FO&M projects "revolve" back into the fund. In 2013 - 2014, the Community Green Fund helped students install bottle fill stations in Greek Houses, which helped to reduce waste and improve health!

The next phase of Community Green Fund projects are launching this winter! Interest Statements will be solicited on December 8th. Applications will formally be made available January 4th and will be due January 12th.

Selected project ideas will be presented to the GRLF Committee to determine their feasibility and potential impact. This is a great opportunity to help improve sustainability at Dartmouth and gain valuable hands-on learning that will enrich your academic experience.
