Hello Dartmouth!

Just a reminder that the Parliamentary Debate Team is holding its first meeting of 14F TONIGHT at 8pm, in Carpenter Hall, upstairs.

What is Parli?

Parliamentary Debate (Parli) is an exciting, creative style of debate where originality and a sense of humor are valued as much as quick thinking and powerful rhetoric. Debaters write their own cases (which can be about almost anything!) and the emphasis is on quality of argument, not quantity of cited evidence.

How does Parli work at Dartmouth?

As a member of APDA (the American Parliamentary Debate Association), we travel to colleges and universities across the Northeast (and sometimes beyond) to compete with some of the best debaters in the country.

THAT SAID - Parli at Dartmouth can be as large or small a commitment as you want it to be. Some members come just to hang out at practices, while others are serious, hardcore debaters. Most of us fall somewhere in between.

We encourage everyone to come and check it out!

No applications, no tryouts, and no previous debate experience necessary!
