Jordan Burnham is a nationally recognized speaker with The Heard, the official bureau of Active Minds, Inc. He travels around the country to share his compelling story of having been a popular student-athlete with good grades who had to initially hide his internal struggle with depression and attempted suicide.

Jordan Burnham is a public speaker on discussing the mental health issues and disorders that affect so many of us. He tells his story of struggling with depression and having to go through high school hiding his internal battle. In high school, Jordan had everything to live for. He was popular, had good grades, and was a star athlete. But as the pressures mounted, Jordan attempted to take his own life during his senior year of high school. Jordan's miraculous survival propelled him to begin to deal with his depression and learn healthier coping mechanisms. 

Today, Jordan's physical body is still recovering, but he has found emotional wellness through counseling, and a strong support system. His program educates students about depression, suicide, and coping mechanisms for young adults. He
 has been featured in major Philadelphia print, Sports Illustrated, People Magazine, and USA Today. He’s appeared on local and national broadcast news, appeared on ESPN’s E:60 and Outside the Lines, CNN, Dr. Phil, Good Morning America, The Early Show and addressed a Congressional briefing on Capitol Hill. He has been featured in three documentaries, including one titled No, Kidding Me Too! Which was directed by Emmy winning actor Joey Pantoliano.

Jordan has been speaking on his story and mental health all over the country for over two years and has been inspiring to audiences of all ages. His brave and relatable presentation encourages students and informs them that talking about whatever they are going through is a sign of remarkable strength.

Jordan has won 2010 "Best of Philly" for work with mental health and speaking,Leadership Excellence Award in recognition of outstanding service to youth leadership development. Given to by The National Youth Leadership Forum, and 2012 Humanitarian Award from Nnamdi Asomugha and the Asomugha Foundation.
