and let the 103rd Winter Carnival begin!

After Opening Ceremonies, join us for hot chocolate, cookies, and a screening of the classic Winter Carnival in the Top of the Hop!

Thursday:
10 am - 4 pm: Ice sculpture competition carving time @ the Green & in front of Collis and Robinson Hall 
12 pm - 8 pm: Buy your Carnival of Thrones t-shirts ($15) and posters ($10) @ Collis info desk
7 pm: Opening Ceremonies @ the Green. Kick off the weekend as President Hanlon and Gail Gentes welcome students, alums, faculty, community members, and friends of Dartmouth. Get pumped for Carnival with the ski team’s fiery entrance, an a cappella serenade by the Cords, and the official unveiling of the snow sculpture.
7:45 pm: Carnival Tea @ Top of the Hop. Join us for hot chocolate, cookies, and a screening of Winter Carnival!
9 pm - 12 am: Bubble Tails @ Amarna. Kick off Winter Carnival with bubbly cocktails, bubble tea, bubble wrap, pop rocks, and more!

Friday:
All Day: 99 Cent Ski Day @ the Skiway. Dartmouth ID required. Go enjoy your day off! Buses to the skiway will be leaving from Dartmouth on the hour at 9, 10, 11, 12, 2, 3, and 4 (the typical weekend schedule, but on this Friday too, just for you!)
9 am: 1st Run Start Giant Slalom, Women's Alpine @ Wordens Trail, the Skiway
10 am - 6 pm: Buy your Carnival of Thrones t-shirts ($15) and posters ($10) @ Collis info desk
10 am: 1st Run Start Giant Slalom, Men's Alpine @ Wordens Trail, the Skiway
10 am: Men’s Tennis vs. Buffalo @ Boss Tennis Center
10 am - 3 pm: Ice sculpture competition carving time @ the Green & in front of Collis and Robinson Hall
10:30 am - 1 pm: Polar Bear Swim @ Occom Pond. Do something you’ll never forget and let the tradition continue! Brrrrr-ing a swimsuit, towel, and warm clothes! Come early to get your spot in line! No one will be allowed to take the plunge after 1 pm.
10:30 am - 1:30 pm: Hot Chocolate and Cookies @ the Roth Center. Warm up after taking the Plunge!
12:15 pm: Skiing for Dummies @ the Skiway. Take the 11 am bus to the Skiway to enjoy 99 Cent Ski Day and a free 1¾ hour lesson!
12:30 pm: 2nd Run Start Giant Slalom, Women's Alpine @ Wordens Trail, the Skiway

1 pm: Winter Carnival Fun Run @ Collis Porch. 5K for Shoe4Africa by Team U.
3 - 4 pm: Carni Classic @ Gold Coast Lawn. Race down the Lawn in snowshoes, as a new twist on an old classic - Wear flair and win prizes!
3 - 4:30 pm: Carnival Coffee with the Dartmouth Coffee Club @ New Hampshire Hall 1st Floor Lounge
4 pm: Ice sculpture competition winners announced @ Robinson Hall
5 pm: Men’s Tennis vs. Boston University @ Boss Tennis Center
6:15 - 7:30 pm: Hill Winds Society Trivia Match @ The Hanover Inn Grand Ballroom

10:30 pm: American Authors Performance @ Alumni Hall. Doors open at 9:30 pm, opening act Toast at 9:45 pm.
10:30 pm - 2 am: AXA’s 38th Annual Beach Party @ 13 Webster Avenue. Performances by Big Party Orchestra and Burn the Barn. 10 tons of sand.

Saturday:
