12 - 6 PM

We are looking for more men to apply!

Interested in learning about gender and power dynamics on campus?

Want to know more about identifying action steps for sexual violence prevention within our community?

Excited to facilitate discussions on campus norms around gender, sexuality, and sexual assault?

******************************

If you answered YES to any one of those questions...

Then become a Mentor Against Violence (MAV)!

******************************

MAV is a student-led organization open to all aimed at educating our peers about the spectrum of violence, focusing on sexual violence. After a one-day training plus booster workshops, students are ready to facilitate discussions surrounding sexual assault prevention, power dynamics, sexism, and bystander intervention with diverse groups on campus, including Greek and affinity houses, residence halls, and athletic teams. We also collaborate with other student groups on awareness events and programming in order to foster a safe and respectful environment.

Please complete the application below by WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 22 at 10 PM. It's just a way for us to get to know you a little bit and to figure out how to best cater our training to incoming members, so no need to stress.
Training for this term will be on SATURDAY, JANUARY 25 from 12 to 6 PM. Unfortunately, we can't take new members unless they attended training, but don't worry, we take new facilitators every term!
