What is the Fifty?
Teams of 3 or 4 people. 53.6 miles. From the steps of Robinson Hall to Moosilauke Ravine Lodge on the Appalachian Trail in 2 days and 1 night. No sleep. Only 30 people will be allowed to hike this fall (a lottery system will be used to select teams).
FIFTY other awesome Dartmouth students will be waiting at seven support stations along the trail, to feed and hydrate the hikers, rub their feet, and provide general merriment.

When is the Fifty?
October 4th and 5th
Hikers will leave Hanover between 11 AM and 2 PM on Friday afternoon, and be at the Lodge for dinner on Saturday.

How do I prepare for the meeting?
Get a team together! The Fifty is hiked by teams of 3 or 4 people. Try to find 2 or 3 other students with whom you won't mind spending 30 hours alone in the woods. Once you've got your team organized, think of a clever team name! This is important.
**If you don't have enough teammates, don't worry! You should be able to find a number of willing hikers at the meeting.
